1990's 

The 1990s began the age of instant connections and fast paced communications. Likewise, revolutionary projects were being matched with innovative Master Builders products that could make them a reality.

In 1992, Master Builders new RHEOCRETE^® corrosion-inhibiting admixture, for example, was key in minimizing corrosion of the steel reinforcement used in the construction of the Denver International Airport. Master Builders’ SET^® 45 was used later in the 90s to repair Denver’s high traffic concrete runways. With a 15-minute set time, the runways were ready for aircraft traffic in just 45 minutes. 

In 1994, Master Builders RHEOMAC^® UW 450 technology was instrumental in stopping the infamous Great Flood from further damaging Chicago’s downtown district. This revolutionary, new anti-washout admixture allowed concrete to be placed underwater.

In other applications, cutting-edge technology like Master Builders brand MBrace^® system strengthened and repaired concrete through the use of flexible carbon-fiber and epoxy resins. RHEODYNAMIC® Self-Consolidating concrete made with GLENIUM^® technology helped make concrete a more versatile material, and EMACO^® concrete repair mortars promoted rapid road and lasting structural repairs.

With an evolving portfolio of products and an arsenal of successes, Master Builders technologies led the construction industry into the 21st century.
