OMICRON™
OMICRON is a dry powder that is added to the concrete or mortar in the mixer. OMICRON reduces the water of the mix and imparts water repellency features.
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
OMICRON improves water penetration resistance and increases concrete and masonry walls durability, due to the following features that it imparts in its flowable and hardened states:
- Improves concrete and mortar workability. OMICRON has a cohesive consistency, retaining for longer periods its flowability.
- OMICRON reduces shrinkage and creates and ideal workability with a reduction of 15 to 20% of water, reducing at the same time initial shrinkage in 30 to 40% in mortars.
- Increases compressive strength. Substantial strength increases are obtained, even with mortar mixes produced out of masonry cement.
- Reduces bleeding
- Reduces permeability and absorption. The experience shows that it is possible to obtain a reduction of 40% or more in the mortars absorption through the use of OMICRON.
APPLICATIONS
OMICRON is recommended for use with any type of concrete and mortars, be it ready-mixed or in-place.
